Our sunrise metal frame / wood infill gate is a perfect mix of both wood and metal gates. Supplied with a Locinox mortise lock it provides excellent security whilst being modern and elegant and giving more privacy than a wrought iron gate. The wood can be easily replaced if needed.
This is a great alternative to a completely wooden gate as it still gives the privacy but will not twist or sag like a traditional wooden gate due to the strong metal frame .
Note: All timber used in our gates is now pressure treated to extend the life of the wood.
Spec: - Stained 19mm thick wood*
- 6ft (183cm) tall.

- Supplied with two wall mounted 40mm box section posts.
- Locinox lock supplied with 3 keys and aluminium catch.
- Painted black frame with optional galvanising to prevent rust
If you cannot find exact style or size you require then please contact us on info@caldergates.co.uk where we can design our gates to your exact specification
The widths listed are the gap you have between your walls, we then work out of the size of the gate. If you need gate posts, remember to allow space for these.
Note: this gate includes wall mounted posts so please order the gap between walls - contact us if in doubt.
* Shades of stain may vary slightly from the photo. All timber is pressure treated with top coat of hard wearing stain.
Gate height is measured from the bottom of the frame to the highest point on the gate.
Don't forget to allow for ground clearance too - typically 60mm.
Galvanising option and FinishWe offer you a choice of finish on all our gates.
Hot dipped galvanising is the best possible way to rust proof metal work and can last up to 100 years depending on where in the UK you are.
Please click to see your areas corrosion rate here.
We do recommend that you do have your gate galvanised so that you can enjoy our gates for many decades to come without the worry of rusting.
Quality Product and Customer Service Tuesday, 25 August 2015 | John
We brought a sunrise wood infill gate..Spoke to James and we exchanged emails and pictures so that I could provide the correct information. Quoted by return email with all spec listed ans a delivery date. During the manufacturing we were contacted and updates and advised of a delivery day to ensure we would be here to receive it. The gate and posts arrived very well packed (they were heavy)..Good painted finish to the wood (choice given) and poweder coated on frame/posts. Very good quality lock and fittings easy put together.
Overall they performed above expectations especially as I had tried other firms to get a price/information which wasn't forthcoming or they weren't interested to deliver to London.
I recommend this company as realiable with great service and excellent quality product..It may cost a little extra but its worth it - Buy once you won't regret it

Measuring Guide and Delivery Times
Widths:
Before you complete your purchase for your gates or railings you need to make sure that you are ordering the correct size.
The widths shown are the size between your posts or pillars and NOT the actual size of the gate or railing.
To work out the size needed you will need to measure (as accurately as possible) the distance between your posts or pillars and this is the size / width that you will need to order.
Height:
The heights of the gates and railings shown are the actual height, measured from the bottom to the highest point of the gate or railing. When checking the height of the item needed please do not forget to allow for ground clearance, typically 6cm for gates and 4cm for railings.
If you are having any trouble working out the size required please contact us – we are always happy to help.
Hanging side:
When ordering a gate, please let us know if you require:
- The gate to be hung from the left or the right
- Opening inward or outward (when looking from the outside of the property in)
Please place this information in the “messages” section of the checkout. If no message is left, the gate will be made to hang off the left opening inwards.
Delivery times:
As most of our items are handmade to order in our workshop, from receiving cleared payment the (approximate) delivery times are as follows:
Just painted gates and railings – 5 to 10 working days.
Galvanised and painted gates and railings – 20 to 27 working days.
For larger items (such as gates and railings) you will be contacted when your item is ready to ship to arrange a delivery date. For smaller items we will not contact you, your item will be shipped as soon as it is ready.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact us.
